> President Harry Byrd announces a plan to offer a complete Industrial Education curriculum on the College Park campus. Most Industrial Education courses had been offered in Baltimore.

> The Department of Industrial Education shares building space with College of Engineering on the present site of Tagliaferro Hall. Glen Brown writes to College of Engineering Dean Steinberg about the immediate need for two shop classrooms for teaching Industrial Education classes.

> The College of Education's Baltimore Division moves from the Fidelity Building to a new location in the Administration Building (now known as East Hall) at 520 West Lombard St.

> The College offers nine vocational education extension courses in Washington, D.C.

> The College offers a course in Occupations, Guidance, and Placement. This is the first course offering in the area of counseling and personnel services.
